The logo represents Charles Martel, "the Hammer of the Franks."  He defeated Muslim invaders at the Battle of Tours in 732 AD and prevented Western Civilization from being overrun.

As traditionalists, we uphold and respect certain moral standards but allow individual chapters to use their judgement and discretion in setting their own priorities.  

Youth for Western Civilization is focused on the issues of Western history, identity, high culture, and pride as well as opposition to radical multiculturalism, political correctness, racial preferences, mass immigration, and socialism.  We therefore are not primarily concerned with economic issues, however, we generally support a limited government and are in favor of the free market.

There are many religious traditions within the Western world – there is no religious requirement for membership in YWC and we welcome members of all faiths. 
 

The governing ideology of Western universities is the pursuit of radical multiculturalism.  It is used as a weapon to defeat any conservative, libertarian, classical liberal or even progressive, patriotic ideas.  The insane and extreme anti-Western bigotry on college campuses must be directly confronted and defeated if any right-of-center group is to make any progress.   This also means that the people of the West need to stop apologizing for their own existence. 

Youth for Western Civilization is unique in that we are openly confronting the forces that are leading to the deliberate destruction of our civilization.  We are also distinguished in promoting an activist mindset among conservative and right-wing groups on campus.

In the words of conservative columnist Mark Steyn, multiculturalism is a cult of ignorance.  The multiculturalism in practice on campuses today has nothing to do with actually learning about other cultures.  Instead, it is about learning politically correct slogans that are designed to denigrate Western heritage in general and American heritage in particular.  Multiculturalism is really about destroying and dispossessing the people and culture of the West, not about an appropriate education about other peoples.

We believe that in order to understand other cultures, one must first understand one's own culture.  This requires a real liberal arts education, which is almost impossible to obtain on a university campus today. 
 

We encourage non-students to join our organization as an Associate Member. Please fill out our Associate Membership Application and our national staff will follow up with you shortly. Youth for Western Civilization is a student organization based on campuses. However, we can definitely use help from non-students. You can help us recruit and work with students on campus. We work with non-students around the country who have special skills that they can offer our groups. We will also let you know about all speeches and events at campuses near you.

You can also provide invaluable help by making a tax-deductible contribution to help us continue our progress.  We simply cannot do this on our own.  With your help, we will fight for your beliefs on campuses across the nation.

Any positive comments or constructive criticisms are also more than welcome. We operate in a very hostile environment attributable to the thorough Leftist indoctrination of colleges. As we struggle to restore academic standards to college campuses, it is always good to know that we have people standing by our side. We realize that any patriotic group is going to be accused of this regardless of what they do, so we don't take the accusation seriously.  Youth for Western Civilization has no racial requirements for membership and we are not a racist group.  Anyone who agrees with our values can join. 
 

Kevin DeAnna, a graduate student at American University, is the sole founder of Youth for Western Civilization.  He started the group after several years of working full time in the conservative movement as a student organizer because he came to realize that radical multiculturalism poses the greatest threat to real education and the traditional values of Western Culture.
